Movie Verdict

Thrillers are always popular, but their stories must be new. Joseph is a remake of Joju George’s Shekar, which was also directed by Joju George (2018). Those who have seen Joseph will notice similarities in this film, leading some to believe it is a remake. The storyline and cast of characters were both excellent this time. In 2022, the film may have been ruined by too many detective scenes.
In a gripping opening sequence, the main character is introduced. After this, viewers wonder if they’re watching a suspense thriller. The story takes a few unexpected turns, but none are surprising.
Rajashekhar’s portrayal of Sheakar’s aging is satisfactory. Despite conducting investigations, he is an elderly former police officer who must exert a lot of effort and appears frail. Shivani Rajashekar, daughter of actor Rajashekar, plays herself in the film. It’s a joy to see her and the rest of the cast in action.
She must adapt her directing style to the changing film industry if she wants to captivate a new generation of moviegoers. Mallikarjun Naragani’s camerawork and Anup Rubens’ score aren’t thrilling. He worked as hard as the other technical departments, but it wasn’t enough because they were all exceptional.
Shekar isn’t for everyone, but thriller fans may like it.
