ET Movie Review: Following the phenomenal success of Jai Bhim, Surya has created ET, a high-octane commercial action entertainer flick. Surya enjoys the same level of popularity in Telugu states as our regional heroes, and with that in mind, the makers released ET in Telugu on March 10th, 2022 in theatres.
ET received a positive response from the audience because the film bears a resemblance to Jai Bhim, Surya’s brilliant screen presence, Priyanka Arul Mohan’s innocence, and Pandi Raj’s direction resulted in a perfect commercial film. Without further ado, let’s see how this film fared and whether it is worth watching or not.
Story
The film is based on true events and follows Kannabiran (Surya) as he aspires to be a scientist and serve his country, but bad events in his life force him to become a lawyer and combat crimes against women. Movie Verdict
Surya has a sizable fan following in Telugu states, and prior to Jai Bhim, he had a string of disappointments in Telugu and Tamil. However, with Jai Bhim, he returns with a bang, and the film became a Telugu blockbuster. With that confidence, Surya came up with commercial flick. ET, the story’s concept is intriguing, but the film’s substance is lost due to the film’s Tamil flavour, which would alienate Telugu audiences, but Surya’s vivacious screen presence will keep them engaged throughout the film.
Finally, if you’re a fan of Surya just go for it.
