Aakasam Nee Haddura Review:
It’s a huge dream of Sudha Kongara to make this film like how Captain Gopinath dreamed to set-up his own airline. Fortunately, she got a perfect team of actors because of whom she could get the desired output. Still, there are some dull moments here and there. Except for that, Aakasam Nee Haddura is an inspirational film for all the youngsters who dream big.
The film starts with a suspenseful series of Suriya directing pilots of his first flight to land it at a Military territory when they don’t get landing approval from the ground. The story goes back to 6 years. Aparna Balamurali is introduced as a foodie who desires to start a bakery business. Udipi hotel vs five-star concept makes the audience understand the hero’s fantasies, followed by the entire village damaging in with their money to help him financially to make his dream come true. Interval episode is another emotional scene.
The lift off in the second half is a bit sluggish with heavy family drama. He gets insistence from all the sections, though his wife is always caring and supportive. At one point, his friends ask him to sell his company to a famous airline that offers a huge sum.
Engine failure of the first flight was dramatized only to delay the victory. The pre-climax portions were nerve-wrecking, followed by a happy ending. All in all, Aakasam Nee Haddura is a wonderfully made film, though it had its share of shortcomings. The film is high on emotions, but surely an inspirational one for aspiring youngsters. Lead actors performances, Sudha Kongara’s direction, and best work from the other technicians make it an engaging watch.
